If you want to see more than just Cheow Lan Lake, we recommend staying in the village of Khao Sok. This village is not only a great base for Cheow Lan Lake but also for exploring the rest of the national park.
We stayed at the Rock and Tree House Resort, and we loved it! You are right in the middle of the jungle here. With a bit of luck (or misfortune ;-)), you might encounter monkeys, the largest frogs you’ve ever seen, and scorpions during breakfast. There is a swimming pool, but it is quite cold (as it’s always in the shade). Additionally, you can enjoy delicious Thai food there.
You sleep here in your own treehouse. For children, this is a real treat! Our kids still talk about it. The owners are very friendly and are happy to help you organize excursions in the park.
