Argentina

The land of tango, the stunning Andes, and steak.

Argentina is a country in the southern part of South America and is the second largest country on the continent, after Brazil. The country is approximately 39 times larger than the Netherlands and has a population of about 45 million people.

The country is known for its spectacular landscapes, including the vast pampas, the towering peaks of the Andes, the beautiful lakes and waterfalls of the Lake District, and the glaciers of Patagonia. It is a popular destination for nature lovers and adventurous travelers.

Argentina has various climates due to its large size. In the north and the Cuyo region, the climate is dry and hot, while in the south and Patagonia, it can be cold and windy. Buenos Aires, the capital of the country, has a temperate climate with warm summers and cool winters.

Argentina is accessible from the Netherlands via a flight of approximately 14 hours. The best travel time depends on which part of the country you are visiting. Generally, summer (December to February) is the best time to visit Patagonia, while spring and autumn are the best times to visit Buenos Aires and the wine regions.
